Are you really ready for a puppy?

Puppies are a big commitment! Ask yourself (and honestly answer) these questions:

Do I have MONEY to devote not only to purchasing a puppy, but for future expenses?  Dogs need to be seen by a veterinarian and have vaccines.  Dog will need food, treats and toys.

Do I have TIME to devote to a new puppy?  Labrador puppies need exercise, like walks and playing fetch.  They need love, petting, and cuddle time. You will also need to spend time training your pup.  Our dogs are smart and eager to please, but it does take time.

Do I have HELP raising this puppy?  It takes a village to raise a child and puppies are much the same.  You need someone to help when you come down with the flu or go on vacation. Our Labradors love children, but kids can’t be counted on to care for a puppy alone!

Do you have the PATIENTS it takes to raise a dog?  Potty accidents will happen and shoes will be chewed.  Make sure you are ready for a few headaches along the way.

If you answered yes to the 4 questions above, we are really excited for you!  It takes  a special person to give a lab what they need.  Besides money, time, patienst and support, a lab will be most successful with someone who is active, fun-loving and caring!
